From The Editor

Welcome to the Annual 2023 review issue of The Square

This year has flown by and The Square has gone from strength to strength thanks to our readers but of course, also due to our incredible contributors.

This year we have had a great mixture of regular features from our well-known writers, but also from those whose work we have been delighted to showcase for the first time.

We are so pleased we have been able to reach readers across the world – Freemasons from all jurisdictions and obediences – and to share the knowledge and talent of our writers. We’ve been inspired and we hope you have – and will continue to be!

The useful translation tool we have on each page, has meant we can reach even more of you and we are unique in as much as quite a few of our articles come from brethren across the globe, which we can then translate into English for our English-speaking audience but just as easily, it can be translated into any other language. Isn’t technology wonderful (when it works well!)

The layout of the Annual and monthly editions have evolved to new creative and ease-of-use heights. Integrated links mean you can skip from article to article easily allowing you to discover cross-linked articles by subject and/or author.

Our mission is always to discover new voices, books, and ideas, and explore insightful and exciting subjects all with a connection to Freemasonry – and a vital key to your advancement in Masonic knowledge.

As always, we also have the usual features of podcasts, blogs, old books, new books, reviews of books, and a whole host of Masonic knowledge to keep you busy with your ‘daily advancement’.

We hope you enjoy this year’s review issue. If you do – or if you don’t – drop me a line at editor@thesquaremagazine.com

Until January 2024, our first new look quarterly issue, stay safe and well.
