Egyptian Freemasonry
Freemasonry in Italy of the Ancient and Primitive Rite of Memphis-Misraïm Arcana Arcanorum Scala of Naples (1777)

About Santuario Egizio d’Italia

The Egyptian Freemasonry of the Ancient and Primitive Rite of Memphis-Misraïm, as practiced within our Sanctuary, is a Traditional and Ancient Initiatory Way.

It has its roots in the most ancient traditions of mankind and is a link in a chain that is lost in the mists of time.

In each Initiatory Path, the Tradition is transmitted in the endless chain only by the “initiates”, from generation to generation and the Light, with its ancient foundations, is transmitted UNCHANGED.

This Way is ONE, UNIVERSAL, NOT CONTAMINABLE by profane and personal factors and not subject to culture or people.

It is resistant to time, to eras, to centuries; it is immutable, with its characteristics and rules, as it always has been and always will be.

The purpose and purpose of the Initiatory Path that we represent are:

  • To awaken and to awaken, stimulating in the new Brothers and Sisters the inner need for constant evolution
  • The Regeneration
  • Reintegration into the One.

The ultimate goal of the Egyptian Rite: Osirification , or identification with Osiris. that is, to become a Body of Light according to how the various schools intend to define the process of Reintegration in the Father: to reunite what is scattered , to harmonize one’s being with the pulsing of the Light and to promote the supremacy of the Spirit over matter .

Like the most ancient initiatory traditions, the Ancient and Primitive Rite of Memphis-Misraïm, practiced in the Egyptian Sanctuary of Italy, is for a few, not for everyone

What is meant by Egyptian Freemasonry?

What is meant by Egyptian or Egyptian Freemasonry or Egyptian Rite Freemasonry?

Certainly we do not refer to alleged and undocumentable arguments that trace Freemasonry to the Corporation of the Builders of the Pyramids of Ancient Egypt, but to strictly Ritual and Operational aspects of Freemasonry and of the Arcana Arcanorum within our Egyptian Sanctuary of Italy Arcana Arcanorum Scala di Napoli – 1777 of the Ancient and Primitive Rite of Memphis-Misraïm.

A secondary aspect, but certainly important, is that linked to Ritual elements , present above all in the first three blue degrees, of the so-called Symbolic Freemasonry of the Egyptian Rite .

There are in fact strong references to an Esoteric Tradition grafted already in the earliest rudiments of the Egyptian Freemasonry of the Count of Cagliostro , datable to around 1789 .

In our Rituals of Egyptian Freemason Apprentice, Companion of the Egyptian Free Mason and Master of Egyptian Freemasonry we find clear references to the Land of MisraÏm and to the Initiatory Schools of Memphis as well as the positioning of some of the divinities of the pantheon of Ancient Egypt in superimposition to the roles of the officers in an Egyptian Rite Masonic Lodge such as our Mother Perfect Union Lodge (1728), these are also exclusive elements of our Rituals.

However, the main element for which Egyptian M axonry is recognized in the world is the ultimate goal of our Initiatory Path, an end which is, in general, common to other Paths defined as the process of Reintegration into the One; process nested in the last Degrees of our Rite, namely the theoretical and operational rituals of the Arcana Arcanorum Scala in Naples (the 3 + 1 degrees conceived by the great Past Master Don Raimondo di Sangro Principe di Sansevero): in our Initiatory Path this process takes the name of OSIRIFICATION .

The term OSIRIFICATION is understood in the traditional Masonic context, the Reunification of what is scattered , as in the Myth the reunification operation that Isis did , symbolically speaking, with the parts (14) of the body of Osiris dismembered by Seth is told.

It is a myth, that of the Reunification of what is scattered which brings to mind the Return to the Father, to Principle One of all philosophical-religious beliefs.

OSIRIFICATION, understood as the process of bringing together what is scattered, is a very ancient concept, and it is here that we refer to the concept of Unique and Perennial Tradition…
